Silly Sciatica at 28 weeks!

Well, now I really feel pregnant! Looks like I have developed Sciatica- the babies may be pushing on something that is pushing on my Sciatic nerve, causing severe pains from my back to hip and all down my right leg. My right foot has been numb for 3 days now. I have faith that this pain will eventually ease, but it is not looking like I will be able to go back to work full-time :(. Fortunately, the babies are doing great and unaffected by this silly Sciatica! Everything happens for a reason, so maybe it is time I lay low and let these babies cook for the remaining 8-10 weeks. They say twins come early, however, we will try to keep them in my belly up to a least 37 weeks to assure good health and size. Thank you to everyone for your support, it really means a lot to us. And a special THANK YOU to my wonderful husband, who is now my personal assistant. I will know more when I see my doctor next week. Til then... :)

Twin Belly at 6.5 Months!

Wow! I am FINALLY feeling what it is like to be pregnant! The babies are growing so perfect, we couldn't be any more blessed. AND, I have such a wonderful husband who has assumed all the responsibilities that I am no longer "allowed" to do. I am on minimal bed rest- just a caution to be extra careful. Kaiser calls me every Wednesday morning to monitor my contractions and see how I am feeling. So far so good. Our next BIG ultrasound is February 21st. We are considering getting a 3D ultrasound, too... Just to see! The babies are moving more than ever. We can now see the kicks and flips! So wonderful~but getting so big, my moving is becoming more difficult. I am determined to hang in there full-term. We want healthy babies! More soon! xoxox

Our Ultrasound at 6 Months!

We had another wonderful, problem free ultrasound today! The babies are both head first now- and if they stay this way- I can deliver them normally. (no c-section) The tech said the babies are weighing in at 1 lb, 9 oz each! Big babies for 24 weeks! They are kicking and punching like crazy, letting us know they are in there and hungry! We have another doctor check up on Tuesday- more then! xoxoxo

24 Weeks Pregnant!

We have our next BIG Ultrasound this Thursday and can't wait to see our boy and girl again! Our doctor recommended we go to a Preventative Premature Labor class- just to make sure we don't deliver these babies too soon. We will get the details of that class on Thursday as well.

I am getting bigger and bigger and will post 6 month belly pictures shortly. The aches and pains have began, but nothing I can't handle yet! Sleeping has become a chore- given that I can only lay on my left side. UGH. It is all worth it, and the babies birthdays will be here before we know it!

Thank ALL of you for your support, this has been an amazing journey thus far. We are becoming quite impatient! More on Thursday! Hugs, Hec and V

Meet the Ramirez Twins!

Our much anticipated 1st ultrasound. Here our little angels are.. Still hard to see. At this point we only knew that there were 2 little babies in there... You can see the separate sacs, but even identical twins start in one sac and split into two. We had to wait until week 16 to find out what the sexes were!! Still, very exciting! We were hoping for Fraternal twins- one boy and one girl!

Twice the Joy, Twice the Love, Twice the Blessing from Above!

Friends and Family,

I hope you are all well! Hector and I wanted to wait until we had our first doctor's appointment (which was this morning) before we told the whole family and friends this EXCITING news:

We just found out that we are expecting TWINS!!!

I am just 8 weeks pregnant and my due date was going to be May 13th. However, since we are pregnant with TWINS, they will most likely come 2 to 6 weeks earlier. It is still too early to know any details like whether they will be identical or fraternal, BUT the ultrasound showed TWO adorable little sacs with healthy heartbeats, so most likely they will be fraternal. :) This, we are so very excited about!

I have been so fortunate thus far in my pregnancy, having no sickness, no pain, no negative symptoms... I am just hungry all the time and now I know why... There are TWO little ones feeding off me! Pray this good luck continues!

The doctor said I am in perfect health and the babies are very healthy, but when you are expecting twins, they automatically put you in the "high risk" category because there are chances of more complications for me during pregnancy and during birth. I know you will all think good thoughts that our pregnancy goes well, and I thank you for that!

We are so excited to share this news with you ALL in person, but realize that may be light years away. I thought the quickest way to spread this wonderful news, without having to wait so long, is by email! :) Hec and I can't wait to talk to ALL of you individually to share our excitement and get big hugs!

Never a dull moment, right?

We love all of you so much and are so excited to FINALLY make our own additions to this amazing, unique, so very special family! We are so lucky to have you all in our lives, so close and so involved. Hector and I truly feel blessed.

XOXOXOX

All our love!

The proud parents of TWINS, (OMG)
