Tomorrow is the Beginning of our Next Chapter!

Yay! We can't believe it is here already... My contractions have started, we go in to Santa Teresa Kaiser tomorrow morning to get the process started. It is a waiting game now, whenever our angels are ready to come I will start pushing! Could be tomorrow, could be Friday- just depends on the babies! We will try to keep everyone posted... 38 Weeks Pregnant with 6 lb TWINS!!

That's right! At our last ultrasound on Friday, the tech estimated the babies to weigh ~ 6 pounds EACH! No wonder my back and leg hurt so bad! It has been confirmed that IF they do not make their debut before THIS Thursday, I will go in Thursday morning at 7:30 to be induced and have them naturally. My doc is really opposed to a C-section because the babies and I are so healthy, which is great! As long as our girl remains head down, everything should be ok! We are so ready to meet our little angels and will do our best to keep everyone informed on the action. What an amazing adventure this has been so far- I would do it all over again in a heart beat! Thank you to everyone for your love and support- I can't wait for this to come full circle... Just a few more days... 2.5 to be exact (but who's counting??). :) Much love and anticipation! Change of Plans at 37.5 Weeks!!

We just left the our "pre-op" appointment with my doctor- CHANGE OF PLANS! Since both babies are cooperating, head first and settling in- the doc wants us to wait it out and have them vaginally. He says we have a pretty good chance of a smooth delivery, although he can't promise. I go in tomorrow for another ultrasound where they will weigh the babies to see how much they have grown and if our girl is still bigger than the boy. So... He set an induce date of May 1st, but wants me to consider waiting it out naturally since this pregnancy has been so perfect. The only factor for induction is the pain from my Sciatica- otherwise everything is great! I am getting so big... It's hard to move around and I am quite uncomfortable at times, especially with this leg pain. Hec and I will think about it and see how I feel next week. They may come well before then, but just in case, we want to be prepared mentally. Keep us in your prayers! Ahhh! Until then... Hec and V Plus 2 (soon)!

The Countdown has Begun!!

We are almost there! The babies are doing awesome and we are ready to introduce them to this crazy world. If they do not come on their own in the next week, our doctor will induce me on April 29th at 1:30pm! 9 days and counting! My Sciatica has been in full force the past week, so I am hoping for some relief from the leg/back pain when they are born. Our girl has turned, yet again, head first getting ready for arrival. We will have the babies at Santa Teresa Kaiser sometime in the next 9 days! How great is that! YAY! We are ready, for the most part- just very anxious to see what they look like, hug and kiss them and give them identities... Hector has been the most amazing partner- I am so very fortunate and couldn't ask for more. He is going to be the best daddy in the world, so loving and so involved in everything! We are truly blessed. We will try to bring our lap tops/cell phones to the hospital so we can keep you all updated! Much love- wish us luck! Hec and V Plus 2...

35 Weeks and Counting!!

We are 35 weeks! Quite an accomplishment for twins... We had a great ultrasound last Friday and another one this Friday. Last Friday they were weighing in at 4lbs 8oz and 4lbs 12oz. The girl is a little bigger than the boy and already taking charge. She was head first, but had flipped back by the time I saw the doctor yesterday! There is no guessing which direction she will end up, but what we do know is... IF they don't come in the next 2.5 weeks, the doctors will induce me! We are so fortunate to have had such a trouble free pregnancy. I will have more details on Friday and will post again then! 34 weeks!

We have been so busy getting ready for the babies, setting up their room, organizing our house, family time for Easter, etc. We have another BIG ultrasound tomorrow, I will post again then, with new belly shots!

Here is a pic from Easter! We are sooo close! How FUN! Oh, and as of a few days ago- I can no longer wear my wedding rings or normal shoes... The swelling has begun! Ugh!
